We are currently recruiting for the following position:
AMICA ON THE GO DRIVER
Amica at Westboro Park, Ottawa, ON
(Part–Time)
Under the guidance of the Wellness & Vitality Coordinator, this position is responsible for driving the Amica–On–The–Go Bus for planned outings and appointment days. You will assist residents in and out of the Amica on The Go Bus, including helping with any walking devices or baggage as required, while being positive, respectful, outgoing, empathetic, patient and motivational through all interaction with residents. You are a team player and are capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position, including the ability to carry out a significant amount of lifting, bending stooping and carrying of equipment and supplies.
The ideal candidate will have a valid Class F Drivers License and current driver's abstract as well as at least one (1) year of experience driving an 18 passenger (or more) bus. You are a team player with the ability to work independently and with a minimum of supervision. The successful candidate will have a current certificate in CPR and first aid and the ability to respond to emergencies in a timely and appropriate manner. Experience working with mature adults is an asset. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts is required.
