Amica Britannia offers personalized support for residents who need assistance with daily activities or dementia care. Our inviting four-storey building is conveniently located in the heart of Calgary between Elbow Drive and Macleod Trail. With just 74 suites, our residents have the best combination of attentive care in a cozy setting. Found in one of Calgary’s most sought-after established communities, the neighbourhood features flat, easy-to-navigate walkways and natural areas with mature trees. Relax by the beautiful fireplace in the lobby, enjoy frequent live performances by visiting musicians, from pianists to a string quartet. Your small pet is welcome to live in your suite. 

Exploring the neighbourhood

Amica Britannia is in an upscale residential neighbourhood that offers a pleasing mix of walking pathways and green spaces like Riverdale Park and Sandy Beach Park on the shores of the winding Elbow River. The Britannia Plaza, directly across the street, is a great destination for its coffee shop, restaurants, shops and services like banking and pharmacy. Many of our residents join us from Calgary neighbourhoods like Elboya, Britannia and Mount Royal, as well as the outlying rural areas.

Come aboard our comfortable private van or bus for scheduled excursions. Outings include the Chinook Centre for shopping, Peters’ Drive-In for a famously delicious milkshake, or the well-kept grounds of Edworthy Park along the Bow River. Visits to Spruce Meadows for equestrian events or the Calgary Stampede are also popular. Our residents enjoy scenic drives to Cochrane, Canmore or Okotoks, or the barrier-free William Watson Lodge at Peter Lougheed Provincial Park near Kananaskis.
