Canadian Army – South Saskatchewan Regiment – Served 5 years

Bob started his Army training while still in high school and was sent to Winnipeg to continue training. He started working in an office at Camp Shilo as a Clerk and went on to become a Sergeant in the South Saskatchewan Regiment.

He was deployed overseas to Liverpool and then onto Harsham, England. Bob served for 5 years and received numerous medals including the General Service Badge, the Holland Medal, France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal (1939-1945).
