Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps – Served 31 years

Cosmo was a Sergeant during World War II where he worked as a paramedic in a field hospital in Italy. As a member of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps (RCAMC), he trained at Camp Borden, the Quebec Military Hospital, Fort Churchill in Manitoba and Camp Wainwright in Alberta.

Cosmo was deployed to Europe where he served 5 years during the war in Italy and the Netherlands. After the war, he continued his military career until his retirement in 1971. During his career, Cosmo served at NATO and with the United Nations in Korea. He also served two 1-year tours as an ambulance orderly and First A id Station manager with the 42 Infantry Workshop RCEME.
