Royal Canadian Air Force – #628 Squadron

Serving 2 years in the Air Force, 628 Squadron, James was a Sergeant, Wireless Air Gunner.

He completed his basic training in Toronto, wireless training in Calgary and gunnery training in Fingal, Ontario. James was deployed to Linton-on-Ouse in March of 1944. During the war, he completed 12 f lights. After the war he attended Ryerson Polytechnic College for a printing course. He was a typesetter for a few years and then went to Goodyear where he retired as an Office Manager in 1981 to care for his wife.
