Royal Canadian Air Force – Engineering Branch – Served 25 years

Jean was a Master Warrant Officer (MWO) in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in the Engineering branch, overlooking Search and Rescue, the possibility of a nuclear war and firefighting duties.

His training took place at a number of different bases including RCAF Trenton, Camp Borden and 3 bases overseas. Jean served for 25 years from 1948 to 1973 and was stationed at RCAF, St-Hubert, Quebec; Trenton, Ontario; RCAF Sea Island, British Columbia; Upland, Ontario; RCAF St-Sylvestre, Quebec; RCAF Val Dor, Quebec; and Gander, Newfoundland. Nine years were spent overseas with NATO Forces.

Jean received the Canadian Forces Decoration and Claps for his 25 years of service. The highlights of his career include seeing Europe with his family during his overseas tours and the friends he has made throughout his military career.
