Canadian Army – Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps – Served 3 years

Lorna was a Junior Commander, Corporal and Captain in the Women’s Auxiliary Corp in the Army. Training in Calcutta, Delhi and Lahore, Lorna performed administrative duties and worked with troops who were leaving. She also accompanied returning troops to hospitals.

After serving three years, she returned home in 1945. Lorna remembers meeting prestigious ladies and Generals and worked as a Nanny for Captains to earn extra money.
