Melanie Wells ~ Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Melanie joined Amica in 2023 to lead Brand, Marketing and Communications. In 2025, her mandate expanded to include Quality of Life, Life Enrichment and Operational Excellence & Innovation, reflecting an enterprise role that connects brand strength, resident experience and long‑term performance.
A strategic marketing and customer-experience leader, Melanie drives cross‑functional work that strengthens Amica’s market position and elevates the lived experience of residents. She brings a human‑centered approach to strategy and innovation, uncovering unmet needs through insight and translating them into services and experiences that feel personal, relevant and consistently delivered.
With more than 25 years of experience across client and agency environments, Melanie has built and transformed brands in retail, healthcare, pharmaceutical and consumer sectors. Her career includes early roles with Sony and Reebok, leadership of integrated marketing initiatives for the LCBO, brand and customer experience development for Dynacare and serving as Vice-President, Marketing and Communications at SE Health.
Melanie pursued doctoral studies in Social Psychology, focusing on decision‑making and motivation. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University and a Master of Science in Marketing from the University of Stirling.
