How We Are Responding To COVID-19

Since the start of this global pandemic so much has changed. One thing that will not change is our commitment to you. Our top priorities are the health, well-being and safety of Amica residents and team members.

From the onset of the novel coronavirus, we have implemented numerous proactive measures at our residences to minimize risk. Our team members have been well prepared, putting into place our strong infection control and management protocols. As well, we are in constant communication with local public health officials and continue to adhere to all the guidelines and directives set forth by provincial and regional health authorities. We acted decisively; quickly implementing visitor restrictions and screening, closing resident common areas and suspending group activities to mitigate the spread of the virus. We are also working with public health authorities to vaccinate Amica residents, team members, essential family visitors and/or essential care partners as swiftly as possible, based on regional eligibility requirements and supplies of the Health Canada-approved Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
