Unique and enriching experiences, only at Amica

A moving musical performance, a revealing art talk or a virtual reality underwater encounter — this is just a sampling of the one-of-a-kind moments you’ll have the chance to experience as an Amica resident. As part of our goal to revolutionize aging and help seniors live with optimism, Amica partners with leading-edge organizations such as Alvéole, the Art Gallery of Ontario, METZ Luxury Tea, Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall and the Vancouver Art Gallery to customize unique programs, events, workshops and performances expressly for the needs and tastes of seniors. Read on to find out more about how these partner programs elevate life for Amica residents.

Picture yourself learning beekeeping secrets and spooning honey that you harvested yourself into your morning tea. It’s possible thanks to our partnership with Alvéole, an urban beekeeping company that’s installing hives at seven Amica residences. Alvéole workshops cover everything from the vital role of pollinators and how to care for them to making beeswax crafts. Nature enthusiasts will also appreciate rustic walks and gardening activities available at all Amica locations.

The Art Gallery of Ontario

Imagine creating art inspired by prominent Canadian and international artists from the comfort and safety of your suite. You can do just that thanks to the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Virtual Seniors Social. Amica is proud to be the lead sponsor of this innovative and free online program, which invites seniors to participate in virtual art conversations and artmaking workshops led by the AGO, one of the most distinguished art museums in North America.

METZ Luxury Tea

As an Amica resident, you’ll have the opportunity to savour METZ Luxury Tea, attend tea socials, taste tea-infused recipes and sip a wide variety of black, herbal and wellness teas each day. In fact, the teas on our menu were selected at a tasting by Amica residents. It’s another “perk” of our premium lifestyle, plus Amica appreciates that METZ Luxury Tea is produced with strong ethical, environmental and sustainable processes.

Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall

Music programs are among our most popular at Amica. Now envision yourself attending an Amica-sponsored, in-person performance or video concert created with our residents in mind. You’ll enjoy magnificent musical experiences like these through our partnership with the non-profit Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall. Live performances to date have included dementia-inclusive concerts and a virtual holiday concert. The Lyrics & Legacies Project also paired songwriters and musicians with Amica residents to turn their stories into song.
