Sean Taggart ~ CMO
As Chief Marketing Officer, Sean Taggart is responsible for strengthening Amica’s position as Canada’s most highly valued senior lifestyle brand and ensuring a consistent brand experience across all consumer touch points.
Sean works collaboratively across the company leveraging data-driven insights to develop creative marketing programs that increase sales, value and differentiation. He oversees corporate strategy, brand management, digital, public relations, social media, marketing communications and advertising, as well as the company’s consumer insights and customer relationship management efforts.
Drawing on more than 25 years of experience with internationally recognized brands, Sean joined Amica in 2017. Previously he served as Senior Vice President and Interim Chief Marketing Officer at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (FRHI Hotels & Resorts), responsible for marketing the group’s global hotel portfolio, encompassing over 110 properties under the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel brands. Prior to this, Sean held progressively senior positions with the IBM Corporation and TD Canada Trust.
Sean holds an MBA from Duke University in North Carolina, where he graduated with distinction as a Fuqua Scholar, and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistical Science from the University of Western Ontario. In addition, he earned his Certificate of Professional Achievement in Sales & Marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
An active member of the community, Sean is involved in several not-for-profit boards. He currently sits on the board of the Amica Helping Hands Charity, was a past board member of the Canadian Marketing Association, and a past board chair of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
